Marvelous Monday is coming up on January 27th.  All missing work is due by THURSDAY JANUARY 23TH.  The 23rd is a short day, and we do NOT have school on Friday the 24th.

Planner: Remember to have it signed every day.

 
Independent Reading: Read 20 minutes per night. 100 minutes required.  Record minutes in planner.

PTA Reading Contest  Keep track of your minutes in your planners between January 17th and February 18th for a chance to win some terrific prizes!  See the flyer that went home today.  There are individual prizes as well as class prizes.  Our school could win a visit from a Utah JAZZ basketball player!!!

Keyboarding test will be later this month.  Practice at Free-Typing-Test.com.

Homework:

EARPHONES/HEADPHONES: EACH STUDENT NEEDS HIS/HER OWN SET. THEY DO NOT NEED AN EXPENSIVE PAIR. A FEW STUDENTS HAVE REPORTED THAT THEY BOUGHT THEIRS AT THE DOLLAR STORE.

Math: 5-9 Work Sheet due Tuesday 21, Jan.  Quick Quiz tomorrow.  For extra practice, visit ThinkCentral and try out some of those activities. The User Name and Password are both your lunch number.
 

Science: Star gazing- Use your maps to look for Orion and then one other constellation. Try for 5-10 minutes only, it's cold out there! If clouds roll in, don't worry about it. We'll try again later in the week.

Language Arts: Memorize Poem: "Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening." Due: January 21, 2014. Remember to practice saying it LOUD, SLOW, and CLEAR. Worth 100 points. 

Reading: Completed CC G-11 in class. Finished and corrected workbook pages for Tuck Everlasting chapters 10-13. Make sure your sentences and paragraphs are complete, as well as neat!
