Notes/Reminders: 

Parent /Teacher Conferences, March 12-13.     
Please schedule your appointment with your homeroom teacher.

U of U Elementary Engineering Field Trip: Monday, March 24.
 
DRAMA Classes this week!

Jump-a-thon: Wednesday, March 5. Bring $5 or more to participate.

Green class needs to bring a picture from a magazine for art for Tuesday.  Objects are easier (car, shoe, flower, ice cream cone) than people or animals.

All work due in Math by Wednesday, March 5.  All work due in other classes by Thursday, March 6.

Planner: Remember to have it signed every day.

Independent Reading: Read 20 minutes per night. 100 minutes required per week.  Record minutes in planner.

EARPHONES/HEADPHONES: EACH STUDENT NEEDS HIS/HER OWN SET. THEY DO NOT NEED AN EXPENSIVE PAIR. A FEW STUDENTS HAVE REPORTED THAT THEY BOUGHT THEIRS AT THE DOLLAR STORE.

Homework:

Math: WS 7-3 Due: Tuesday, March 4.
  
Science: Catapult in-class work time: March 5. Bring your materials and have fun testing out your beginning catapult.  All student built catapults are due: Monday, March 17.

Language Arts:  DOL #4-5 Due: Monday, March 4. Argumentative essay, "iPods and MP3 Players In The Classroom." Due: Friday, March 7.  Poem Performance: "Don't Quit." Due: Monday, March 10. Remember to practice saying it LOUD, SLOW, and CLEAR if you want an excellent grade!


Reading:  Study Rome Vocabulary - Ancient Rome Vocabulary Quiz THURSDAY, March 6!

Keyboarding: Students should be typing at 28 wpm minimum.  Practice at:  Free-Typing-Test.com.
