Today, the Riverton High School Peer Leadership Team came to visit our classes. They presented different ways for students to handle difficult bullying situations in a fun, energetic way. 

YEAH!!!  Our next great "Marvelous Monday" is coming!!!! 

This is the week to get ALL of your missing work turned in by this Friday, November 22, 2013.

Please send a toilet paper tube with your student for an Art Project.

Planner: Remember to have it signed every day.
 
Independent Reading: Read 20 minutes per night. 100 minutes required.  Record minutes in planner.

Homework:

Math: #3-15 Due: 11/19/13.

Science: Test for our Seasons Unit will be on Monday, November 25, 2013.
Homework- Take home Seasons Quiz- "Why the Earth has seasons in two sentences or more". Please write one sentence each the two major factors that produce seasons and the requires elements for each:
Tilt-
Angle
Light (More or less direct OR concentrated or spread out)
Temperature(more direct light=higher temp and vice versa)
Place( Different places get different temperatures e.g. north hemisphere the opposite of south hemisphere) 

Revolution
Axis constant-( points to the north star)
Earth always moving 
Changes which places get direct and direct light
Causes solstices and equinoxes


Language Arts:

• The next poem to practice public speaking skills is "The Parts of Speech" by Green Baker.  Our next performances will be 12/2/13. Remember to practice saying it LOUD, SLOW, and CLEAR.
• MyAccess.com Essay: "Persephone and the Four Seasons" Due: 11/26/13.

Reading:  Study Spelling Words for Dictation next Thursday.
Introduction to Ancient Greece and we started reading "Greek Civilization" 20 facts due tomorrow at the end of class.
