Notes/Reminders: 

Way to go, Sixth Grade Jumpers!!!  We enjoyed watching your jump roping skills at our "Jump for Life" Kickoff Assembly today! Thanks to Mr. Ridge for organizing our jumpers! You're awesome!

All missing work due on Friday, February 21.  NO EXCEPTIONS ON MONDAY!  Marvelous Monday will be on Monday, February 24.
 
Planner: Remember to have it signed every day.

Independent Reading: Read 20 minutes per night. 100 minutes required per week.  Record minutes in planner.

EARPHONES/HEADPHONES: EACH STUDENT NEEDS HIS/HER OWN SET. THEY DO NOT NEED AN EXPENSIVE PAIR. A FEW STUDENTS HAVE REPORTED THAT THEY BOUGHT THEIRS AT THE DOLLAR STORE.

Homework:

Math:  We are reviewing volume of rectangular prisms with fractional sides.  Work Sheet 6-3 is due Feb. 20th.  District Benchmark test Friday the 21st.

Language Arts: No assignment. We are writing argumentative essays on "iPods and MP3 Players In The Classroom." 


Reading:  Today we read about "POMPEII."  We discussed ways to read informational text and why it is an important lifetime skill. Worksheet "It's in the Reading" due Thursday.

Keyboarding:  Students should be keyboarding at 28 wpm minimum.  Practice at:  Free-Typing-Test.com.
