Marvelous Monday is
coming up on January 27th. All missing work is due by THURSDAY JANUARY
23TH. The 23rd is a short day, and we do NOT have school on Friday the
24th.
PTA Reading Contest Keep
track of your minutes in your planners between January 17th and
February 18th for a chance to win some terrific prizes! See the flyer
that went home today. There are individual prizes as well as class
prizes. Our school could win a visit from a Utah JAZZ basketball
player!!!
Elk Meadows Elementary Choir
is starting next month. Please turn in your permission slip no later
than January 28th. The note went home on Wednesday, but you can get one
in the front office if you are interested. Practices will be
Tuesday/Thursday from 7:45-8:15am. We are so excited to be having a
choir this year and look forward to a lot of 6th grade participation!
Keyboarding test will be later this month. Practice at Free-Typing-Test.com.
Planner: Remember to have it signed every day.
Independent Reading: Read 20 minutes per night. 100 minutes required. Record minutes in planner.

FEW STUDENTS HAVE REPORTED THAT THEY BOUGHT THEIRS AT THE DOLLAR STORE.

Reading: We are enjoying the novel Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt. Your student should have read through chapter 16 and completed the workbook assignments. It has been fun to have discussions about what it would be like to live forever as a 6th grader.
