Notes/Reminders:

Planner: Remember to have it signed every day.

 
Independent Reading: Read 20 minutes per night. 100 minutes required.  Record minutes in planner.

PTA Reading Contest  Keep track of your minutes in your planners between January 17th and February 18th for a chance to win some terrific prizes!  See the flyer that went home today.  There are individual prizes as well as class prizes.  Our school could win a visit from a Utah JAZZ basketball player!!!

EARPHONES/HEADPHONES: EACH STUDENT NEEDS HIS/HER OWN SET. THEY DO NOT NEED AN EXPENSIVE PAIR. A FEW STUDENTS HAVE REPORTED THAT THEY BOUGHT THEIRS AT THE DOLLAR STORE.

Elk Meadows Elementary Choir is starting February 4.  Practices will be Tuesday and Thursday from 7:45-8:15 AM.  We are so excited to be having a school choir this year,  and we look forward to a lot of 6th grade participation! Applications are still be accepted until next Tuesday, February 4.

Homework:

Math:   Worksheet 5-12 due: 1/28.  The 7th Math Placement test will be on Monday, February 3.  Please make sure your child is at school.  For more information on Math Placement for 7th grade, visit the Math tab on the blog.
 

Science:  Study hard! Universe test tomorrow, 1/28. We move onto Light on Wednesday, 1/29.

Language Arts:  No assignment. Ms. Emily's "Bully Blockers" lesson #4  today. Keyboarding (wpm) test this week in class. SRI Test #5 Monday, February 3.

Reading: Working on Chapters #17-19 in the Tuck Everlasting workbook; it's due Tuesday, 1/28.
                  Spelling Week #9,  Parent Letter #9 due: Wednesday, 1/29.
